Some unseasonably cold weather hit Windsor last Thursday night but that didn’t stop a troop of Vincent Massey Secondary students who took to the streets. Decked out in One Change gear and loaded with free digital tire gauges, 21 students headed out door-to-door to engage in hundreds of conversations teaching Windsorites how their new free digital tire gauge will enable them to check their tire pressure once a month saving them money, protecting the environment and keeping them safe on the roads.
Lisa Matire, Environmental Club lead teacher, gushed over her students’ enthusiasm to get involved with community based initiatives. And the gushing was well deserved as students eagerly set out door-to-door despite the colder weather and returned with smiles and stories to some well deserved treats. One Change Windsor would like to thank the great energy from the students and the wonderful support provided by Vincent Massey teaching staff for making the blitz a great success.
