Windsor, Ontario’s Nancy Abati (pictured here) has been involved with One Change from the beginning. When we brought our flagship campaign Project Porchlight to her area, she did a fantastic job coordinating volunteer efforts at Riverside Secondary School, where she teaches Grade 9 and 10 Science.

As he sees it, he should have realized on his own the power that can come from making one change. “But it’s so simple that it’s hard to see,” says Bill. “It’s on the tip of your tongue but you can never say it.”

When car aficionado Denise Righetto (pictured here, center) volunteered for the 2009 One Change fuel efficiency campaign, she had a bright idea: that our free digital tire gauges be distributed at local car shows. When Denise volunteered for this year’s Ottawa blitz, she made sure her idea was put to good use.

“It’s not very often you see an organization make such a big difference,” says volunteer Melissa DeDecker (pictured here, right). She’s talking about One Change. After spending September 10 giving out nearly 100 free digital tire gauges as part of our fuel efficiency campaign, Melissa is convinced that we—and our sponsor Canadian Tire—are well on the way to spreading awareness that simple actions matter.

Halloween came early to Toronto this year. At least, that’s how it felt to One Change fuel efficiency campaign volunteer Kathleen Cammidge (pictured here, right, with Outreach and Volunteer Assistant Michelle Gruda). “I was a bit nervous about going door-to-door,” she says. “The last time I’d done that was when I went trick-or-treating when I was younger.”
