Field Representatives / Lead Field Representatives Contract (approximately 2.5 months) Ottawa $15/hour – Leads: $17/hour August 30, 2010 November 14, 2010 |
Summary:
Reporting to the Regional Manager, the Field Representative is responsible for managing and carrying out the day-to-day, door-to-door field deliveries of engagement pieces to designated households.
The incumbent is responsible for data collection, public education and outreach to the community. The incumbent will work a flexible schedule, with the majority of work being performed on afternoons/evenings and weekends.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Deliver engagement pieces to designated households and neighbourhoods
2. Participate in large-scale and small scale community/retail events
3. Support volunteer distribution
4. Deliver community education and engagement programs
5. Other responsibilities as requested
Supervisory Responsibilities:
N/A
Note:
Individuals assigned as Lead Field Representatives will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of field representatives assigned to their team.

Qualifications:
Education
• Post Secondary education is preferred
Experience
• Experience with data collection, data management and data reporting
• Experience in the not-for-profit sector is considered an asset
Skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Possess excellent attention to detail
• Ability to meet daily and weekly delivery targets
• Ability to work in a team environment with little supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High level of professionalism and presentation
• Physical ability to hand-deliver engagement pieces throughout all types of residential settings with varying levels of accessibility
• Demonstrate passion for environmental causes and conservation projects is considered an asset
• Bilingualism is considered an asset
Note:
Individuals hired as Lead Field Representatives must possess a valid driver’s license and must be 25 years or older to meet the contractual stipulations of our lease contract and our insurance policy requirements.
