Mississauga.com (Mississauga, ON): Saving money and the Earth
Canadian Tire is urging residents to help save the environment this weekend.
At five of its Mississauga locations, Canadian Tire is partnering with One Change, a non-profit community-based organization that raises awareness of environmental issues such as climate change, to get the message — and savings — out to customers.
One Change representatives will be handing out Canadian Tire money-saving coupons and a free digital tire gauge, identical to the ones being delivered door-to-door by volunteers in the past week. A demonstration will be provided to show guests how to check and adjust their tire pressure on their vehicles.
The goal, officials say, is to make the community aware of earth-friendly ways to help the environment, such as keeping car tires properly inflated.
The event will be hosted at the following Canadian Tire locations:
• 1156 Dundas St. E. (Friday, 4-8 p.m.)
• 5970 Mavis Rd. and 6670 Meadowvale Town Centre Circle (Saturday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
• 900 Southdown Rd. and 3050 Mavis Rd. (Sunday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.)
